Dolomiti Medical PINE-120, is able to produce surgical masks up to 4 layers in large series, up to 7000 units per hour.

A project that was created to meet the need of our customers to use a machine capable of producing surgical masks at low cost. In line with the recent ordinances in terms of cost containment, and which guarantees ease of use and reliability.

Dolomiti Medical has decided to accept the challenge of committing its resources to solve the production problem of masks in Europe, at competitive prices and very short delivery times.

The demand for protective masks has experienced a sudden and uncontrolled spike due to the COVID-19 emergency. To this, import difficulties were added due to dubious certifications of non-EEC producers and controlled State costs.

We therefore believe that the solution to current and future demands is to incentivize European production by offering the appropriate technology, to face an intense and efficient production process, to guarantee the supply of certified and very low-cost protective devices to the population.

The requests for a full-blown epidemic speak of an average monthly requirement for the Italian population of 30 million pieces.

The car

The Dolomiti Medical Pine120 production machine is specifically designed for the mass production of multilayer surgical masks, as per the specifications of the UNI EN 14683: 2019 standard.

The machine produces multilayer masks with the best features available on the market today. It can bond up to four layers of non-woven fabric, fold the major edges, and ultrasonically weld them for a perfect seal. Inserts a metal, plasto-metallic or malleable plastic tab for shaping the nasal edge, centering it with sub-millimeter precision. Make your favorite shaping folds, blocking them laterally with the addition of a sealing tape that also blocks the elastic rings for better comfort.

Dolomiti Medical Pine120 has a modular structure and can be composed as required by the customer, favoring production efficiency, economy, and / or total automation of the production process.

Power module

It includes the mechanisms for loading the raw material (fabrics and metal band), the automatic tensioning mechanisms of the fabrics to ensure crease-free feeding to the next module and the micrometric adjustment for the absolute and relative lateral alignment of the fabrics used.

Forming module

Match the fabrics, fold the long edges, create the forming folds and ultrasonically weld all four sides of the mask. It then separates the templates into single units and sends them to the next module.

Elastic rings module

Here the snap rings are made and welded. These are positioned within the perimeter of the mask, ensuring subsequent easy packaging (unlike models with external rings).
In the same module a sealing tape is welded on the vertical edges of the mask to further block the rings and increase comfort.

Electronic control

The machine is completely enslaved by an electronic control based on European standard PLC. The Ethernet connection with a dedicated PC allows the adjustment of all parameters. Optionally, the analysis and remote control software with the “Industry 4.0” features is available.
